Coming to us from Ozark Christian College, we welcome Matthew Brands
as our new preaching minister!
Who We Are
We are a body of believers striving to restore primitive Christianity, and consequently the union of all the followers of Christ into one body (John 17:21).
Our purpose is to exalt Christ above party, and exalt His Word
above all human creeds.
We aim to build a church of Christ without denominational name, man-written creeds or other barriers to Christian unity, whose terms of fellowship shall be as broad as the conditions of salvation, and identical with them.
Our mission is to lead sinners to Christ in the clear light
of the New Testament teaching.
On non-essentials we admit the largest liberty; on the essentials we appeal
to the New Testament. "Where the Bible speaks, we speak;
where the Bible is silent, we are silent."
What We Believe
In God the Father, in Jesus Christ as the Son of God,
and in the Holy Spirit who dwells in each Christian.
That Jesus Christ existed in the beginning with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
that He was born of a virgin, that He died on the cross and
was raised from the dead, and that He is coming again.
That the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is our final authority
for what we believe and how we live.
That salvation is the free gift of God (Romans 6:23) and that it is based on God's love and grace as shown in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16; Romans 5:6-8; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 2:4-9)
Faith and trust in Christ and openly confessing that faith.
(Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10)
Repentance, which is a decision to turn away from sin to obey God.
(Acts 17:30; Acts 2:38)
Be baptized (immersed) to receive forgiveness of sins
and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
To begin a new life and become identified with Christ and His body, the church.
(Romans 6:3-4; Galatians 3:27; 1 Corinthians 12:13)
A continued life of faith and loyalty to the Lord.
(Colossians 1:21-23; Revelations 2:10)
That eternal punishment (hell) awaits those who reject Christ, and eternal life (heaven) awaits those who accept Christ and are faithful to Him.
